4th of July Luck…is it in me?

I normally don’t buy the big 3 as I like to call them (Mega Millions, Classic Lotto, Fantasy 5) , well actually I do buy them about 2-3 times a month. However, today feels lucky and special since it’s the 4th of July. Whats so lucky about it? The day of freedom!! Will today be the day I get out of the day to day hustle and bustle we call work for the rest of my life? We will see! Tonights Mega Million jackpot of about 54 will help the process of not having to work again. The Fantasy 5 jackpot is estimated at 105,000 which is generous enough to go back and finish up my B.F.A. and not have to work. Of course, this is all win pending.

Will this be my freedom from working? Hopefully if not, it’ll be someone elses who reads this blog. Best of luck!

The slope stat has stabilized

It’s always fun watching the blog stats on this blog just sky rocket when huge drawings are about. Most recently was the Michigan Millionaire Raffle drawing that gave out millions in prizes. The spike went up to near 800 this time, which I’d say is a record for a Michigan Raffle , but not the record. The record would have to be back early 2007 when the Mega Millions jackpot hit 345 million

According to my records the biggest hit. So now I see the graphs as the slope heads back down to its average 170-250. What causes all this? I’d say just pure randomness, since I rarely get comments. When I do, it’s 20% good comments, 5% cocky comments and 75% that are just people complaining that I don’t know what I’m talking about since I didn’t win the lottery. Those are usually the harsh comments that aren’t spelled out correctly and last 1 sentence and I can usually smell the halitosis from this side of the computer. The ones claiming they won the lottery and type like that, make me wonder…If you just won millions of dollars, is there really a lack of things to do besides search out lottery blogs and type like a 3rd grader on crack? So those get spammed right away. That and to date, over 80k spam comments have been blocked. There is probably 1 or 2 spam comments I let by, just for the fact they had sites associated with the lottery. Do I approve of them? Well they aren’t scams as far as I know.

Will Michigan ditch the Super Raffle?

So I’m sitting here after spending 40 bucks on the Raffle….when will the next raffle come out? I’m curious how it will work out since it rotates Millionaire Raffle then Super Raffle. Will Michigan finally ditch the Super Raffle?
The reason I’m thinking this is that not only did it have very bad sale records, but they had to extend the drawing date an extra week plus because of low sales. For 50 bucks a ticket, I’m not sure whether or not that’d be a great idea to do. Will I buy a ticket buy a ticket? Of course, I always buy the latest and greatest ticket available! I have been lacking in scratch and win tickets, or should I say, Scratch and Lose tickets because there is no hope like there is with the mega millions and the like. You buy it, you get it, you lose. All within a few seconds.

late late Results for Mega Millions Project

Well theres no time like today! I will start off by saying that it wasn’t really officially announced, the results, and that they are a dreadful find. This blog started out to record thoughts on playing the Mega Millions every time for a full year starting in mid January and ending a year later. This meant that I played easy picks every single Tuesday and Friday costing 104 dollars total.

The idea started when I played the lottery almost all the time and swore that it’s possible to win money if you indeed play it every chance. I’ve gathered up all my tickets from previous times and maintained that I always came out on top by at least 20 bucks a year. Nobody believed me of course, so I decided to prove them wrong and record everything. However, the book keeping was poor and the only actuality was keeping track of the dollar amount as well as numbers on paper. Due to this piss poor method, the only proof I can come up with is my solemn word of the results.

After a full year of results, I don’t think anybody would doubt my findings. The total spent was 104 bucks…and the total won from those tickets.

* Drumroll *

7 bucks

That’s right, 7 bucks were won off all those tickets. Your not hearing it tricky or wrong, I won 7 bucks not came out 7 bucks profit. The total that came out was 97 bucks in the hole.

It was a dry spell no doubt, since last year I’ve had my runs of winning 10 bucks here and there with some real luck. Not this year of the project, it was almost doomed to failure. I also played many scratch and wins in the spirit of the blog along with the classic, fantasy 5 and daily games. I managed to lose about 100 bucks in scratch and wins. So in all this lottery playing over the year, did I make any money off anything? The answer? YES. I found the best odds of playing any of the games is the Michigan Fantasy 5. I’ve bought 10 tickets and won around 20 bucks. It’s not small, but the easy 5 number game I’d say has the best odds to win anything.

In conclusion, I would like to say that playing the Mega Millions every single time is not only playing the odds but pretty much guaranteed that you will lose your money. I will keep on playing the lottery, but advice all others to play what you can afford. If you have the bills to pay and getting smacked around with debt and interest and on the verge of foreclosure or bankruptcy, the lottery will NOT help you out. As a debt-free, non-drinking/smoking father of 2, I don’t mind spending the extra few bucks to entertain the idea of being rich. I however do not recommend this as a source of actual money, rather a source of entertainment.

A Saturday of Luck? Not really

Just having a new born baby I thought I’d have some luck in playing the lottery. Well I played the Classic, Mega and the Daily 3 with a day off the numbers since the lady didn’t hear me well. I’m thinking that’s what caused the unluckiness, but neither of the numbers showed up. I’m still crossing my fingers for tomorrows supposed Raffle draw though. I have two tickets just dying to win!

Two of my latest projects I been tinkering with is playing every single possible combination of the daily 3 over the course of 1000 days. A long daunting project that is not only time consuming but will be more of a better way to put a book together me thinks. What happened to the Project Lottery Life book? Well of course there was dead time in between posts here and there and nobody bought into the idea. I will however be putting together the blog posts of that year and making an e book out of them when I get a chance.

The next project I’ve been working on as of late is playing the Fantasy 5 for a month straight everyday to see the odds on that, something like the original Project Lottery Life with the Mega Millions except I’ll do better book keeping.

Why wasn’t there a big event on me doing that project? Well every time I got a ticket I wrote down the numbers, however I didn’t keep the ticket and it just turned out not feeling right since I really didn’t have any concrete proof that I played it every time. However I will be making a post on the results of it shortly.

A new beginning coming

With the Raffle drawing around the corner on Monday a thought came to mind. If bought far apart, could one person possibly win 2 of the million dollar prizes? The odds for it happening are so far and out there it’s about as likely as winning the actual mega millions. However, I bought my tickets so far apart that it seems that I may have a chance. A very very slim chance, but a chance nonetheless. Will I win? Odds are against me, I’ve bought tickets far apart before and won absolutely NOTHING. I’ve also had people email me as well as comment on this blog saying they played the actual odds of winning and STILL won nothing. That right there just kinda cheese me off, since the odds aren’t there and are of course wrong. But its the closest way to determined what actually can be won. I’m hoping for at least 100 bucks after laying down 38 bucks for the tickets. If I win anything more then that, I’ll be on cloud 9.

Thats right! Michigans Millionaire Raffle has finally sold out. The drawing will be held June 23rd or later as their official site says so theres really no confirmed date. So sit tight and hold on! Will you be a winner? I hope I am! Best of luck to you all.

New Blog Logo

This place finally got an upgrade with it’s own personal logo!

The good man himself Cliff Nowicki over at www.cliffnowicki.com created a personal logo to by pass all the plain jane stuff that we have right now. Sound familiar? Well it’s me of course, and I felt that this place needed a quick something to distinguish itself. I’ve had it sitting around for months before I realized that it was finally time to put it up on the site.

I’ve also been trying some other money making ideas, but have yet to figure it out with all that stuff. I’ll be making a book/dvd page and go through the amazon area and hopefully if your into buying lottery stuff you can do it through there and I can get a little commission on that. I’ll announce that as soon as it becomes available so you can get your hands on some cool lottery stuff that you may not have known.

Friday the 13th. Lucky Lotto Day?

The answer to that question is a big fat no. A co-worker suggested today that I buy 13 lottery tickets upon hearing that Friday the 13th is a lucky day for me. As an avid lotto player, I jumped at the chance. I decided to try my luck at a few other tickets as well. What was the total of ticket buyage?

I just had to buy a 2nd Raffle ticket with big hopes that my lucky day may pay off. Will it pay off? Only time will tell, but so far the tickets that game out with winning numbers are the mega millions, fantasy 5 and daily 3. A total of 15 bucks spent on those and a grand total of……$3 bucks!! YAY I can make u p for the classic, fantasy and daily. It was worth a shot, the tickets still waiting to be called out is tonights Classic Lotto and the Michigan Raffle. I have a good hope about that raffle ticket. At the end of the day I don’t feel as lucky but really hopeful about that Raffle ticket.
