Why lottery tickets are just as useful as coffee.

March 5, 2008

I’m still playing and paying the lotto. It’s been getting tougher and tougher losing more and more. Actually not so much losing as it is figuring out what else could of spent instead. But is it really worth it? I still stand on the stance of yes!

Why would I think of this? I’ve been adding all the tickets I’ve played the entire past year and saw all the losing tickets and what I could of spent the money on. I’ll have a more detailed answer to that later, but in the end it’s quite a few bucks that could be spent on a night out or even a night in of fun. Most of you would call me a sucker for spending money wasted. But I’m sure you all know my stance. A lot of you spend money on crap you don’t need as well and you all justify it with a reason as to WHY you need it, and WHY someone else is wasting their money.

For me, I like to spend my extra bucks on lotto tickets and I don’t complain about other people for it. Although I get a lot of comments saying how I  am wasting my money. I always say it’s my money and a chance to win more. Sucker bet? Most think so, but lets analyze some things other people WASTE money on and why it’s sooooo much needed.

Coffee -

Averaging 3 bucks, this cup of caffeine is consumed daily by most. I spend less then 10 bucks a week on tickets, people who drink coffee on the go spend a lot more. Why you ask? Because they like the taste and they need it to stay awake.  Well why not take caffeine pills? If it’s that bad cause it’s to much caffeine,  then you shouldn’t be having coffee. Make a pot at home and if you don’t have time, you not only have money issues, but you also have time management issues and I’m pretty sure your not debt free.

Alcohol-

A six pack is much more entertaining then blowing money on a chance to win more? I disagree here too. If you need drinks to have a good time, then I need lotto tickets to have a good time. I also bet I can get more out of a lottery ticket then drunk. Whens the last time you got in a lotto accident on the highway cause someone was drunk on lotto? Lotto is an addiction, but the odds of it’s addiction is far less risky then beer. Nobody goes out and drives like an asshole on a Saturday night after buying a lottery ticket.

Porn-

OK, this is a touchy subject but there are a few people who waste tons of money on this. This can also fall under strip clubs as well. Money goes in and out within a matter of seconds for a quick high. Get the free stuff online, it’s cheaper. A great porn will keep you happy for a few minutes, a great lotto ticket will keep you happy for a lifetime.

Drugs-

If your on drugs and call the lottery a waste, then your messed up. It’s ok, i’m sure you just can’t count how many numbers are in a lottery ticket let alone where to find a lotto ticket. If you somehow found this website then you need to get high on lotto. It’s your only hope. Winning can either do great and change your life, or …make you go on a drug binge and kill yourself. On second thought, if your on drugs DON’T play the lotto if you dont’ want too.

Going out to eat-

You say you need food to live? Sure you do! But do you really need the steak dinner, rack of ribs, lobster or happy meal to survive? No. You don’t need a lotto ticket to survive either, but if you calling the lotto a waste while eating a 20 dollar dinner saying you NEED to eat to live then your mi-steak-en…..bad pun.  You only need the basic essentials to keep your body healthy and going. I’m sure if you ask a Dr, anything prepared at a micky something or applewhatever or even Redwhatchamacallit, they will not only say it’s unhealthy for you but they’ll advice going to places like that. Lotto wins again! I don’t go out and throw down on a night of 30 dollar lottery tickets…I’m sure it’d be fun, but i don’t.

That’s pretty much what I can thin kof right now. I know everybody has rebuttle’s to everything on this subject on why I’m wrong, but when you think down to common sense then your waste is just as much of a waste as a lottery ticket. It goes down the drain and it could of been better spent on something else. Pay off your bills, student loans and credit card bills. I’m debt free, are you?
