Tips for Lottery Money #4 – Tap Water

If your drinking fiji, odds are you think the lottery is above you. You’d rather waste hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on expensive water that is the same. All the while, swearing up and down it’s different then everything else. Well, even if your the same person that gets the generic brand water then it’s time to listen up. Water is all the same. It’s water, it’s processed the same way as any other water. Except Aquafina…that’s about the only water that has a weird taste to it. Anywho, the rest is all just tap water poured from someone else’s sink. You just either buy it cause you don’t like your water or you just like the ease.

Unless your faucet is dripping out yellow and brown it’s time to switch to just drinking tap water. And if your faucet is dripping out yellow and brown, I’ll make this post quick since you do not have an internet connection and are relying on someone else’s. I’m psychic like that. Water from the tap is not only a money saver, but it contains nutritious fluoride to help protect against cavities as well! Its a great value AND it saves the trip to the store to buy the water. What else are you saving? The weight of the water case(s) you buy lug down your car causing it to be less fuel efficient.

It’s money saving all over!! IF you absolutely must buy water and refuse tap, which defeats the purpose of saving money for a lottery ticket, then buy the gallon milk containers of water. They are usually just a buck or so.

Now get drinking that tap water and save that money! The last jackpot sure quenches my thirst then a bottle of water, and YOU could of won it! Hope that Fiji tasted great.

New Super Raffle?

The latest Mega Millions jackpot still hasn’t been claimed and has shot up to 125 million for this Tuesday! The commercials are starting to roll out now and soon the flock of lottery players will be buying up multiple tickets in hopes of winning it big. Will I be buying multiple tickets? Nope, not yet. I’ll buy them when it hits the 300mill mark. Until then its the same single ticket to win.

When I went to go buy my 125 million dollar hopeful, I saw a sign saying the Raffle will hit 8-11 and will cost 50 bucks. No doubt that’s the Super Raffle we all know and love. I have my money lined up and ready to take another stab at it. I was a number off the last Super Raffle from one of those Multi Million dollar prizes, however the last Millionaire Raffle I was more then 30 off from getting just a 100 bucks. The odds are funny like that ya know?

I did however win something over the weekend. I won a small little $5 prize from the Classic Lotto! I also happened to find 2 Fantasy 5 tickets worth a buck each behind my desk when I was moving furniture around. Not bad for a weekend of moving stuff around. That’ll go towards ye olde lottery fund towards a better future.

So when you go out to get your tickets, remember 125 million!

Tips for Lottery Money #3 – Downgrade the cellphone

With the recent buzz around apple’s latest iphone, I realized that another part of society is whining and bitching about the price of gas. It’s none other then the people who spend way to much money on cell phones. They’re sleek, they’re cool, they’re trendy, THEY’RE the reason your complaining about the gas prices. Therefore, if you own a high end phone like the iphone, you no longer have the right to complain about gas prices.

But to save some money, you may want to think about downgrading that cell phone of yours. Do you really need all that extra stuff? Do you need to get another $300 hand Steve Job? Do you need the latest blackberry to check your ever so important email? No you don’t, and if you did you wouldn’t be complaining about gas since your Mr./Ms. Center of the Universe and gas isn’t an issue.

So if you can, next time it comes up, don’t go for the expensive phone. Opt for the one you already have or get the one that comes free with the plan. With this in mind, you’ll have plenty to spend for lottery tickets.

P.S. to all iphone fanboys that found time to read this blog after fingering they’re new iphone, don’t take your precious little toy so seriously. Its a phone….not a device, a phone.

Still not winning

Just checked my possible 75 million dollar mega millions ticket. Still no winner. O well, it could be worse, they could have a negative prize. But when the jackpot gets this big you can’t help but think the latest batch of stuff to get. The good news is the jackpot is up to 88 million and we all know what that means!! IT means it’s closer to 100 million, which in turn gets advertised, which IN TURN sky rockets the millions as more and more buy the tickets. Tip for Lottery Money #2 – Keep the A/C in the car off

Now I know everybodies thinking, it’s hot now! So let me throw down a few car tips to help you save on the gas money crunch.

1 – Turn the AC off when your in city traffic. Roll the windows down and feel the wind blowing through your hair and imagine that it’s your brand new convertible you bought with a winning lottery ticket. No need to hear the ass next to you mocking your 85 Honda, that’s saving you tons of cash to begin with, because you just hear loud wind and potential of millions of dollars.

Just to throw in another money saver tip, If your on the highway, by all means TURN ON THE AIR. That’s right, the myth of no air = better gas mileage all the time is kind of wrong. The fact is, with your windows down on the highway it’s conducting more aerodynamic drag on your car which in turn gets you WORSE gas mileage on the highway then if you have your AC on.

You’ll notice the difference and if you drive a lot, you’ll see yourself saving a few bucks. Just enough to get that Mega Millions ticket to keep on dreaming and thinking about what you’ll do with all that cash while the summer breeze is flowing.

Tip for Lottery Money #1 – Tickets beat Tacos

So I came to think of ways to save money when I realized I could use the same to let others find ways to buy that extra lottery ticket.

Today when I was driving to work, I get cut of as usual from people pulling out of Star Bucks that think they are that much important to get to work before I do. Obviously they have poor time management skills, since they are so desperate and forget to wait for oncoming traffic. I then realized, that’s quite a good way to save some money for some lottery tickets!

It’s the age old, save money by not purchasing fast food a few times a week. So skip that bacon burger, milkeshake, coffee or whatever kinda taco you eat. Lets throw out some lotto-mathmatics.

Taco = A buck
Pros = Tasty, can be used for a meal
Cons = Your out a buck, doesn’t have the chance to make you a multi-millionaire, makes you fart

Mega Millions Ticket = a buck
Pros = Can become an instant millionaire, can buy a lifetime supply of tacos
Cons = Doesn’t taste good

There you go, when you compare a lottery ticket to a taco, the lottery ticket has the long run investment potential.

4th of July Luck…is it in me?

I normally don’t buy the big 3 as I like to call them (Mega Millions, Classic Lotto, Fantasy 5) , well actually I do buy them about 2-3 times a month. However, today feels lucky and special since it’s the 4th of July. Whats so lucky about it? The day of freedom!! Will today be the day I get out of the day to day hustle and bustle we call work for the rest of my life? We will see! Tonights Mega Million jackpot of about 54 will help the process of not having to work again. The Fantasy 5 jackpot is estimated at 105,000 which is generous enough to go back and finish up my B.F.A. and not have to work. Of course, this is all win pending.

Will this be my freedom from working? Hopefully if not, it’ll be someone elses who reads this blog. Best of luck!
