Super Raffle Drawing October 22nd

They’ve gone and done it. The announcement came today that the state will indeed conduct their drawing October 22nd. It’s within all legal rights being “within 10 days after drawing” but deep down inside I really want to see the numbers and my chances of winning. Many may say, “you waited this long whats wrong with a little longer?”. Nothing is really wrong, I’m just at a nice little crossroads where I can save myself literally thousands of dollars if I were to win the 2 mill right now which is probably 750k after all those taxes roughly. So whats a few grand? Well if a few grand seems like peanuts, then by all means send me the few grand out of your winnings! If you didn’t win anything, then lets all agree, 750k is nothing to retire on for a person starting out in his career. Working 40 years of his life, that’s about 18,750 in cash a year. Not to much.

Would I lump sum it? O hell ya! If I were to get annuity it would be just a disaster. I’d have to buy a house on payments, which will jack around my interest and wind up paying more. In the end, I’d rather pay flat out for a house and a used car and just toss the rest in the bank and live off the interest. How much interest would that be? Well if I were to put away 400kt in a 4% CD every year for a year and take out the interest, I’d roughly get 16,000 a year which is about 1334 a month before taxes. That’s easy to live on if the only thing you have to worry about is car insurance, gas and utilities. If I can’t live on that then I’m obviously living the high life to much.

Super Raffle Sold Out!……finally

The Super Raffle has been soldout today. The drawing date will be determined October 15th on whether or not it will be October 22nd or sooner. Lets hope for the sooner to make the masses happy!

With that good news comes even more. The next Millionaire Raffle will begin November 19th just in time for Christmas. The tickets will run for 20 bucks a pop and hopefully will be sold out fast in time to buy presents for Christmas. This pleases me very much! Can’t wait for the Super Raffle to be done and over with and get some money hopefully!

Losing Interest? NOT AT ALL!!

A few of my friends that read my blog on a regular basis have known I haven’t been updating regularly the past 2 months. The big question is, have I lost interest in the lottery?

The answer is simple, NOT AT ALL!!

The reason for my time delay is that I have a little son that I’ve been taking care of a lot and its hard to get time online to update except when he’s napping or sleeping. By then, I’m worn out and do the smart thing of updating portfolio stuff and landing more bids for freelance jobs. But in the end, I do have a few minutes here and there that I really want to dedicate to the lottery.

Lately I have been getting into the daily 3 and I’m hoping to win it big! or small, whichever, lol. I keep on getting my millionaire tickets as well and I’ve begun to cut down on the scratch and wins. After tallying up most of them it’s fair to say that they don’t pay off that much. I hear the round of DUH’s out there, but they are fun to play nonetheless. Do I regret playing scratch and wins? Yes and no. Yes I do now, but the second I have one in my hand I’ll never say I regret purchasing it…until of course I know the outcome of it!

I’m still a little torn with the Super Raffle though, it’s been WAAAAY to long for a raffle to last. I originally predicted a shaky 6 days sell out as opposed to the 4 I believe the first one had,don’t remember. I had a feeling it’d take some time since the last few raffles took some time, but this is just ridiculous!! It’s hard to convince people to shell out 50 bucks for a 2% chance on winning 500 bucks. I had to convince my g/f that it was a worthwhile investment. She’s fine with the mega millions and daily 3 tickets, but 50 on a big swoop is hard.  She often asks, what if I took all the raffle tickets I bought and instead took all the money to buy that many mega millions tickets? It’s always fun to wonder, after all thats what this blogs all about! I’d say I spend nearly 350 bucks on raffle tickets…Holy shit is that right? 2 super raffle tickets = 100 bucks , 12 millionaire tickets = 240. Damn, 340 on raffle tickets!! With all the money spent on that, mega million tickets, daily 3’s and scratch and wins…i must say that I may come out even this year!! I’ll have to tally it all up at the end of the year.

That would be awesome if I were to come out on top as I originally planned for the lottery. Here’s hoping everybody!! I’ll do my best to try and keep up to date with the blog!

Taking to the daily 3

I’ve taken a keen liking to the Daily 3 as of late. Its almost like I have to get a daily 3 ticket with all the spare change I have in my car. For as little as 50 cents a play you have a chance to win 41-500 bucks. The details on how exactly this game is played is fairly simple, however the more complicated ways of playing seem confusing. Guess I’ll have to investigate some more and see how I go!

I’m also determining whether or not to bring back the winning number drawings of games. On one hand, there’s the main source, but on the other hand when you search engine my site comes up. Which is quite surprising to me out of everything on the web that when michigan mega millions is searched my blog comes up frequently. How many of you here have done that and stuck around to read my blog?  In the end, i’ll do my best to try and keep up to date the winning numbers on a seperate page on the right column of my blog.

The Super Raffle sign still mocks me as I walk in to get my other tickets for mega millions and now the daily 3.  It’s telling me…it’s not over yet, keep waiting! Slowly mocking me, needs to hurry up! About 40k tickets left. Get buying people! And best of luck and hope whoever reads my blogs wins something off it. I’ll let everybody know if I won it (of course)

Clocks ticking, i’m still waiting

I’m sure a lot of people are just like me right now, very impatient and anxious on this super raffle drawing. Over 2 weeks in and could possible stretch a 3rd. This seems dangerous for future raffles to be held. Will this be the end of the raffles? No way! As impatient as I seem, the fact is that we’re still a good 19 days away from the actual drawing with only 48k tickets left to be sold! The only way I see the raffle being pulled is if they dont’ sell all the tickets by the selected date. Even then, they might run 1 more to see if it was just a fluke the first time.

The next raffle is not mentioned yet, but I have a feeling it will be the Millionaire raffle were tickets will cost 20 and it’ll be the thing to get for Christmas this year and will be touted as a great christmas present. What can be better? If the drawing was strictly held on Christmas Eve. Why eve? Well it’ll be a great start to Christmas, that’s why! But they’ll more then likely draw it when sold out so people could buy things for others for christmas and make it better that way.

In the mean time, I still have that hot feeling I’ll at least be getting 500 bucks for my efforts! That can sure be a quick fix to paying some bills that I racked up a bit going on vacation for a week.
