Michigan Mega Million Adventures!

A little overboard maybe, but between me and my girlfriend we have 24 chances to win the mega millions. Does that many chances make a difference? Maybe….maybe not. We started out the journey just cruising around talking about it as I usually swing the conversation and then it hit her. The big 330 million dollar sign of the mega millions on the highway. Right then she told me she wanted to go in on it and BIG. We both wanted 20 each but then settled for 10, me having only 15 bucks and her only having a 20. Fair is fair and we wanted to make sure we both split it evenly down the middle and nobody had an extra ticket chance to their name. We drove down to the local party store Zmart and made our big bets there for 20 chances. It didn’t stop there though. The next day as I was getting gas after I picked her up from school, she decided to disappear and reappear with 2 lottery tickets…..a sobe and some dorito’s. That upped it to 22 chances.

At this point she had some leverage on me but insisted that everything is split down the middle. I believe her, but I just wouldn’t feel right knowing she bought more tickets then I did for the contribution. Later that day I wanted to show her these huge houses I seen last time me and my friend bought lottery tickets. Last time the jackpot hit over 300 million, me my friend and his g/f all went about 20 miles to the edge of Ann Arbor. Maybe not the edge, but we all agreed to drive 10 minutes west from the highway and stop at the next available lottery retailer that wasn’t a gas station. After that we drove another 10 minutes and came upon this small area of 3 story houses that were just astonishing. I wanted to show her for so long but the first time there was construction. However yesterday there was not only construction, but thee weirdest craziest signs and directions I’ve seen. Are they common? Somewhere perhaps, but nothing I’ve ever seen. So we had to head back home disappointed. Of course we made a stop at Chipotle for some guac and chips and some burrito goodness. If your in Ann Arbor off of 23 and Washtenaw anywhere, it’s a must go!

We headed for a fillup at Meijer gas station. Sure I filled up earlier, but only a gallon or 2. Enough to get me to Meijer so I can use the 50 cents off per gallon coupon. It’s a godsend!! Only 10 gallons, but hey 5 bucks saved there!! That went straight to the lottery fund though from earlier. While I was pumping gas, she waved a dollar bill out and said one more, one more! Am I in love with this girl or what? So I went to pay and put a dollar of my own into a 2 pick ticket for the mega millions. She’s officially bought 2 more tickets then me to date and I have 12 hours to come up with 2 of my own to make it feel fair.

The big jackpot for tonight’s drawing is an estimated: $330 million.

A nice little post from the Michigan website that is finally cracking down and letting people know some of what they’ll win:

“If a player wins Friday’s $330 million jackpot and chooses the annuity payment option, he or she will receive a whopping $12.7 million per year for 26 years, less taxes! That breaks down to $1,057,692 per month; $244,083 per week; $34,773 per day; and $4,347 per day for an eight-hour day!

If a winner prefers the prize in one payment, the amount is $194.4 million, less taxes.”
I know I’ll go with the down payment but at the same time I always wonder about the payments. Then again I might wake up one day and get hit by a bus during a morning bike ride or jog. Life’s to short to worry about money after you’ve won the lottery. If you act like a complete spend thrift with it then I can see that the payments would be a lot more better for you. I don’t need all those lavish dinners and things. Just get me a huge house and stock it full of the best video games and entertainment equipment and I’m set for life.

As you can see, the next drawing will be worth 325 mill meaning nobody won that 250 mill prize! Isn’t that great? Still a great chance to win some big big money!

250 million dollar jackpot

It’s climbing back up again! The Mega Millions has rose up to 250 million dollars for tonights drawing! I already bought my ticket, though I am tempted to buy many more. Will I though? No I won’t. A little money situation going on at the moment and I’m trying to save what I can when I can. I did get to thinking who would I really share my money with if I were to share it?

I of course got my girlfriend who I plan to marry in the coming years and I can’t quite stiff her or her parents now could I? On the other hand, I know my parents deserve 3 fold whatever I would give anybody else’s parents, no doubt about it. After taxes we’re talking a solid 100 million bucks. That’s a little extreme, but I’m playing it on the safe side. What exact percentage of the earned do I plan on giving away? When it comes down to it, I know I could easily live a happy life on a million dollars. I bank half of it leaving 50 million. I give a cool mill to my bro, mom and dad. Leaving me with 47 mill. Give out a mill to g/f’s parents making it 46 mill. Give a mill to the girl to play around with and hope she keeps her word of staying with me no matter what as long as she can have fun with some money. Not a picky or high end girl like most out, so it’s believable. Whether or not she’d throw a fit I’m only giving her parents a mill may be another problem. But I think of it this way, your more ahead then if I didn’t win the lottery and if anybody wants to complain, then nobody gets anything. That leaves me with a nice 45 mill to play with until I retire and use that other 50 mill.

It all leads to a nice life me thinks. I can still live a great life and not have to worry about doing anything at all if I don’t want too…work wise. I’ll finish college up and manage to go there in a brand new car and come home to my big mansion like house. That’s great for me living in Michigan since I can easily afford a house worth 8 mill in Cali for only 1 or 2 mill. Its the living style I guess and if I have the money to stay in the Great Lake State, then I’m staying. The beautiful forest scenery is all I could ask for lining on a nice private lake.

The latest lottery is 201 million and I’m hoping to win that this Friday. I had a dream before that I won 363 million so hopefully the jackpot goes that high and I win it! And if I win it, then I’ll actually hope to  give out prizes. That’s right, you heard me correct, prizes! With 201 or even 363 million bucks it’d be a shame for me to not give away some cool prizes for some people who comment on my blog as well as read it. What will be given away? Who knows, it most likely won’t happen but it’d be a great plug to get people to come to the blog. So feel happy that you may be on the verge of something free and easy if I win.

Millionaire Dreams

Still having those Millionaire dreams as the Raffle is coming up in September! I’m still alive though and about to end my 3 month temp job at the company right now. Which means I’m more free to do what I can online as well as talk more about the lottery!

So here’s the lottery update. Still buying the tickets at every play. When I went to go down to Ohio I picked up an ohio mega millions ticket to try my luck! No luck though. So much for trying it out in another state, maybe another time. I’m still in the hunt for that big jackpot though! I’ll  be starting the process of the book that I want to accompany this blog after the project is completed in January. Hopefully I can get the idea rolling with some publishers and see what can happen out of it as long as it’s done my way….so to speak.
