Bigger Jackpot to the sound of 267 Million Dollars!

February 28, 2007

It’s a small hit on the inside everytime I wake up to find the numbers drawn didn’t match up to the big jackpot. Which I found the numbers at clickondetroit.com the local Channel 4 news station here in Detroit. I tried Fox 2 news at myfoxdetroit.com but didn’t care to search much for it due to hard to figure out, but I’m all about watching Fox 2 News first! Fox 2 Problem Solvers is a riot….anywho. That’s the last time i’ll ever spend multiple money on mega millions tickets. 5 tickets and out of the entire lot of 30 numbers on the ticket, all I got was a lousy white ball!! Insanity I tell ya!! Well that’s a lesson learned hard. Don’t get to caught up in the hype. It only takes one ticket to win it all. I’m tempted to spend more, but that’s just not in the budget right now for me unless there’s a kind soul out there to toss some money my way! OK, probably not, I tried. I’m so poe, I can’t afford the O or the R in the actually word poor. I just got the E on sale and hope everybody can pronounce it out.

HOWEVER, the best thing that came out of not winning again is of course NOBODY ELSE WON! That’s right! Nobody else won the 216 Million Dollar Jackpot last night! Not me, not nobody! That leads to the next lottery drawing on Friday, March 2nd, 2007 to determine who wins the next estimated jackpot of 267 Million Dollars! Will it be me? I sure hope so. I already have the plans drawn out like this:

Step 1: Staging House – Me being broke and not in my own house, I need one to make the staging plans. AKA, somewhere to stay to plan all my spending. Somewhere small in a quiet neighborhood where nobody will

Step 2: Spending Plans – Once at the main headquarters I will develop my spending plans. It may take weeks of planning to build my perfect house somewhere but I will do it one day and I’ll spend lots of time researching out different companies, interior design, yadda yadda. Not to mention all the stuff I’ll buy and play around with such as arcades, video games and DVDs for my viewing pleasure. Investing is also into the mix to guarantee I have money locked away somewhere that nobody can get too at all. Swiss bank account? Sounds like a nice little fund to keep stashed away.

Step 3: Car – There’s always has to be a car in the mix. I’ve been thinking about the Cadillac DTS but I’m also looking towards the Impala SS. Maybe a Suburban or Escalade for the SUV mix? I’m all about supporting the American car companies and I won’t be going balls out buying any foreign cars. It’s all about American Made

The simple 3 step plan that will lead to lots of rewards for a happy life of doing absolutely nothin. The basics of house, car and spending plans is all that a lottery winner really needs.

As a closing, I would like to wish everybody good luck in this Friday’s lottery. If anybody has any insight or thoughts about the lottery they play all the time, then I welcome the comments and thoughts from everybody. I would also like to let everybody know that thanks to the 216 million dollar jackpot on Tuesday I’ve been getting  a lot of visitors and have gotten number 65 on the growing list for WordPress.com. I know it’s just people searching around to find some info on the lottery, but I hope you all continue to check this blog out for my thoughts on the lottery. I would also like to say that in the spirit of the book, I plan on keeping it to the spending $1 and only taking $1. I decided that any extra would just throw the average point of buying only 1 everytime. Since Nothing won, Keeping it to only 1 and not making any changes.

216 Million Dollars Tonight for Michigan Mega Millions

February 27, 2007

It’s here folks!! The jackpot above $200 million dollars is here! It’s been quite a time in the making since there hasn’t been one this big in nearly a year. That just lead me to think that I should start adding what the jackpots are each week in the blog to let you guys know whats going on. I’ll also try to do my best to keep up to date on the lottery numbers so you can check out if you won the lottery by using the numbers on my blog! But back to the big jackpot!! I did what I wouldn’t normally do, and that’s to buy multiple tickets. Ya, that’s right, I spent a 5 spot on the Mega Millions today to chase that dream of retiring at the age of 24. Good thing it was only 5 since I happened to accidently take an extra 20 out at the ATM. After asking my g/f how much I should spend on the mega millions, I decided not to spend an entire 20. She said don’t waste money on that when the odds are that bad. I decided I would only get 1, but wound up getting 5 instead.

THERE.

Right there, the early signs of addiction are setting in. Multiple purchases of tickets in hopes of getting better odds which are still just as horrible. What have I become? I’m starting to wonder. I promise you people that will be the last multi-ticket purchase that I will pay for in the Mega Millions…unless it’s a group thing, or the jackpot is over 300 mill. There I said it. The only thing worse then the 5 tickets is I also bought a cashword $2 scratch off ..and lost. Not to mention I was coaxed into buying the same thing 2 days ago as well, which I also lost. Losing 4 bucks in scratch and wins. I’m starting to thing that game isn’t as lucky as the very first time I played it and won 5 bucks. No more of that damn game!! No more scratch and wins for a while!!

I’m still very hopeful on the 216 million dollars tonight. It’s gotten so big even the local news stations are carrying it out and talking about the big winfall that someone may come into tonight. Its not often the news has a story like that about the lottery but when it does you know it’s HUGE! Purchasing 5 chances to win also gives me better odds. Maybe not with the big one, but with the little guys known as the Mega Numbers. There are 46 possible numbers to choose from for the Mega Number. The site claims 1 in 75 chances, pffft, 46 numbers, 46 chances I says! Anywho, with my 5 tickets, I’m guaranteed a 1:9.2 chance of winning $2. Sweet when you think about it really. But that’s still almost a 1 in 10 chance you lose 3 bucks instead of 5. But the big chance of all is winning 216 Million dollars! Still with me here? Good cause I’m hoping to be the man that wins it all!!! OK, I might not, but the fun and dreams all lie somewhere in between.

Without further mention, here’s the stats of the day!

Big Bust Mega Millions

February 24, 2007

As usual, I’m late to buy my Friday ticket….again. So as I’m heading up to the gas station I usually go to get the last minute ticket, I started to think to myself.  I have a 5 dollar bill in my pocket. Should I buy some scratch and wins to compliment the mega millions ticket? Maybe I might win at least something right? Maybe I should buy 5 mega million tickets to increase my odds, but then again, would it really increase my odds enough to win?  As I sat driving there to the gas station all the thoughts kept rushing through my head. When I got there though, the final verdict was to just spend $1 on the mega millions ticket. Why? Because I just wasn’t feeling the luck!

I wasn’t feeling the luck this morning either when I woke up and found out that I yet again lost. 177 million that I’ll never see in my life. But I’m happy! Why you ask? Because NOBODY WON! Which makes the new total for the michigan mega millions to be 216 million!!! Wahoo!!  I may just spend an extra few bucks for a couple extra tickets afterall. I remember a 300+ mega million winner say he was just there to buy a hot dog and decided to buy a few tickets (100 to be exact) and he won! Who buys that on a hunch? A very lucky guy I say! Well I’m not that hunchy to be spending a 100 bucks, a buck everytime is good enough for me. If I do, I don’t know how I’ll do it for statistics. Maybe buy 5 and the best ticket gets recorded in the records for my book? Or none if they’re all losers. At any cost, I have a chance to win 216 million!

The Biggest Loser

February 21, 2007

A phrase comes to my mind right about now. “The Biggest Loser”. No, i’m not talking about the reality show about overweight people looking to change themselves and build self confidence, but the way I’m feeling right now. Not so much a deadbeat kind of loser, however it happened the other day when purchasing the 150 million jackpot ticket winner…which turned out it wasn’t which is another story. I had a 20 spot on me and was getting my typical lottery ticket for the mega millions. I figured, why not a scratch and win? Of course! My favorite one would be the cashword. It’s fun, it pays big and it takes a good 3-5 minutes to scratch the thing. It’s not only fun to do, it’s well….its fun! I was figuring $2 like all the other scratch and wins, right? Well after handing him the 20 spot and getting my lottery ticket and scratch and win and chatting it up with the clerks about the 150 mill pot, I walk to my car and realized I thought I was short changed. After looking at the ticket, which was twice the size….again this didn’t phase me the least for some reason. It was a $5 ticket! I thought aw hell but then realized that maybe the bigger ticket would create even more profit? Of course it should!! Key word, should. Well to make it long story short, it didn’t produce any prizes. I was one word away from winning 40 bucks though. So close yet so far.

Well I had a lots of fun doing the scratch and win. It was called Super RedHot Cashword. It’s like regular cashword except you get two puzzles to work with for a chance to win money. Good idea? Thought so at the time. I may have tried it if I didn’t already lose, but now I will never spend money on a 5 dollar ticket unless the 20 spot was given to me for the purpose of financing my lottery addiction….which this 20 actually was. Thank you to the anonymous donor.

Back to the losing ticket. 150 mill gone. Did anybody win? No!! Thats great news to me though since the jackpot is now a whooping $177 Million!!!!Wahoo!! I’m loving this jackpot growing thing.

However here are the numbers along with mine:

Another Win-Loss Situation in the lottery – Whore yourself out here!

February 17, 2007

I’d like to start off by saying how much I’d love for there to be a Shameless Plug Saturday category going on, but the fact is that there were no Shameless plugs this week. Why is that you ask? Because there just wasn’t the feeling of wanting to whore something out that bad. If you want your blog or whatever whore’d out for you every Saturday, then by all means drop me a line, post a comment and I’ll put it up. Donations will still be needed to keep your site up on this page to make it easy access to everybody.

I lied the other day about having low hopes to win the lottery. Technically I didn’t since I had no hopes, but by having no hopes and thinking that I’d win with no hopes, my hopes went up to the sky about winning the lottery. Does that make sense? A lot of hoping going on! I’m still wondering whether or not to do the Michigan Millionaire Raffle as big as I want too. At first I reported saying I was going to buy 5 tickets, then my g/f suggested that I might as well buy 10. If I go big, why not go all out right? I’m all down for that idea!! $200 bucks though, yikes! But I was willing to throw down for that. It was then brought up that I buy 7 tickets instead. Lucky 7 has been supposedly running in our lives, but I’m just not seeing it other then that my son was born on the 27th, which has a 7 but is technically 27. Should I buy 27 tickets then? OK, uhh no. I’m sure not going to spend THAT much money. It would defeat the purpose of playing! 27 tickets times 20 bucks is $540. After taxes I’ll get 700, making for a total of $180 bucks. That’s not even a guarantee just a 1 in 25 chance of winning $1000. Are the odds that great? Am I willing to take that chance? I really don’t think so because I really don’t have that kind of money to be spending on a 4% chance of winning something. It sure beats the hell out of a 0.00000003 or whatever chance of winning millions, but I think I’ll pass.

I did go out late night last night to pick up my ticket at the last possible minute. I don’t know why I go to the said gas station to buy a lottery ticket at the last minute when I forget, since they clerks are always on their cell phones. Are they rude and cranky that I’m interupting their call? Of course not, friendly people that are just chatting away on their cell phones. I do have a wait a few seconds for my ticket but that’s not that bad of a wait. It’s not like I went in at the last 10 seconds to buy the ticket or anything. But I bought it and headed home and waited for the numbers. I of course, don’t spend the night waiting for the numbers, I just sit and wait until around 11:30 until after the numbers are drawn and then dream about what I’d do with all the money that I’d be getting. Good times are always had thinking about what to buy and what to buy people.

Lottery Adventures – Gumball? Rally Race? My Saturn Ion with a V8?

February 17, 2007

As I sit here waiting for the winning numbers of tonights 130 mill lottery, I ponder what I could do with all that extra money to myself. Then an idea popped into my head the other day after I was watching a video on youtube about some guys that put a V8 into a ZX3 Focus. It sounded pretty bad ass to see such a little car produce such a muscle car like noise along with all the power coming from a little car. That gave me an idea that I been toying around with, turning my little ‘03 Saturn Ion into a fast car with a V8 producing all that power and noise. I admit, i’m not that mechanic saavy or car saavy, and the only thing I know is that muscle cars sound bad ass. I want that. I’ll have to see if I can do it myself, hire a few pros or friends to make it a project and advance to the next step. A rally race!!

What made me want to all of a sudden race in a rally? And what kind of rally race? Well I’m not sure if the term is considered right, but I was watching the show “Jackass” the other night, the episode where they run the gumball 3000 in Europe. I also bought the gumball DVD, a low quality documentary about the gumball 3000, but it was an interesting watch to say the least. All of it has got me to thinking that I want to do it. I want to put a V8 in my saturn and run a race here in America from New  York to Los Angelos. Does a race like this exsist? I’ve heard some say it does, some say it did and some say it never will happen.  But after looking around, I’m positive they exsist and I will join it!!! That or I’ll have to create one myself. That would be expensive and a lot of hassle, but I’m sure I could pull it off with the right people….right?

Well that’s all that’s on my mind as i’m waiting for those winning numbers!!

Where half my money will be donated.

February 14, 2007

Another day, another loss and another BIG BIG jackpot that keeps on growing!! The new jackpot is now at a big and hefty 130 million dollars. I can’t say enough how big that is to the average person who walks into a lottery dealer and sells them a chance for only a single dollar. Isn’t this country great? Just giving up a dollar of your hard earned money can result in never having to work again in your life!

Of course when the jackpot grows every time, that means that I didn’t win the big one. It’s no different this time as I haven’t won, yet again. My spirits are still high with the new jackpot however with all the possibilities. I’d like to talk a little about donations. I feel very strong in the sharing of money to worthy people and causes. I once had a dream that I gave away half of all my earnings to the St. Judes Children Hospital. I took that as a sign from God that I was to give them half of all my winnings. I feel like I have a obligatory duty now to give up half of my money. After all, I spent a dollar and won millions so why not? Most people would say, “screw that I’m not giving away half my money they didn’t deserve it!”

Me personally, I’m not sure what to think of that dream. I don’t think I should put half my money into 1 single organization without knowing much about it, but I do believe I should put half my money into worthy causes and people. I’ve come up with a list of who I should give my money too and who I shouldn’t. Also, the sick twisted side of me that would love just to be rich to shove it into peoples faces just to show them.

Donating too:

1.) St. Judes Children’s Hospital – Now that I have a little guy of my own, I would love to donate to help the little people in the world. To do research on life threatning diseases so the future of children can be preserved.

2.) Needy people. I’m not talking about anybody who asks for it. I’m talking about just random people I meet and different kind of causes that I find worthy. When and where this would happen? I’m not actually sure, but I can spot a good cause and just a plain out faker that is looking for a quick fix.

3.) Private Schools – I grew up in private schools my entire life and the main thing to know is that they cost parents money. Money that just isn’t enough to keep the school going that much. I’m not talking the high end richy private schools, i’m talking about the little ones that try to provide an education to those who wish to learn without having to fear the pathetic discipline in public schools. Is that to say all public schools are bad? Of course not, but growing up in a school that was grossly underfunded and resulted in fundraisers with no government help, it was kind of hard. We didn’t have all the cool fun stuff public schools had. I’d love to have my original school reopen and only charge a small fee. Investment? Not my place, it’ll all go under the church it’s next too. Does this mean I’ll donate to private schools? The chance is great, but I’m not going too guarantee 100% that I’ll be donating to one because there are still a few reasons why I don’t want too.

Not Donating:

1.) Public Schools – The Michigan lottery claims to put 658 mill into public education. Is it my fault that they spend so much money on workshops, traveling and all the extras that they do spend with money they really dont’ have? Schools in Detroit are closing down because of being underfunded when it doesn’t even seem like people are trying to make a difference. The close downs hurt the people that want to make something out of their life yet they don’t get the proper money to function. Knowing that the higher ups are wasting money, I just don’t feel that any money I donate would be wisely used at all. Not to mention the taxes i’m already paying on the mutli-millions is going to public school. So if they suck at using the money, then that’s not quite my fault.

2.) Annoying beggers – Why do these people even try?

“I need money to buy food for my baby or he/she will die. “

OK, what would happen if I didn’t win the lottery? Would your baby really have died? I don’t think so, I know you would do anything for the baby including working two jobs and putting the kid in daycare. Can’t say you don’t want the baby in a daycare cause it needs its mommy because that would be saying, “i’d rather have my baby die then send him to a daycare” Nice parenting…Nice.

Why do people even bother the rich with their useless crap? I by no means can say work hard, cause I didn’t get money working hard, I won it through the lottery! Does that automatically mean I should give it to people who also didn’t work for it? Of course not. I may not have worked hard to win the lottery, but I did commit myself and I sure as hell never begged.

3.) People that didn’t care for me – There are so many kind that I’ll put that in a new post later on.

So when it comes to my money, I will be donating half of it. I’ve come to the conclusion that I won’t put all my eggs in one basket, but rather spread it out to help all sorts of people in their lives to make them better. Put a gleam of hope in the deserving eyes of strangers. That would probably make me the happiest with my money.

Michigan Mega Millions 106 Mill, plus lottery change questions

February 13, 2007

Hello all and welcome to my first post on WordPress.com. It’s nothing different or special, just a new place to blog with a few extras….so ya, it is different and special.

Not much has happened in terms of lottery except for the fact that the Mega Millions is up to 106 million!! Of course if it goes over 100 million the commercials start rolling and everybody jumps in for a piece. This is great! It brings the awareness up to the state of Michigan about it and the jackpot climbs SO much faster once the public is dying to become an instant multi-millionaire. It’s pretty slow to climb up to 100 mill, possibly 4 weeks? Not really sure on the numbers, but it takes 2-3 to jump up to 300 million. Is it that people are only playing because they are aware of the publicity? or do they just play after it reaches 100 million because they don’t want to waste a dollar on winning anything less? It’s hard to believe people would be considering WASTING their money on playing a certain jackpot prize. The odds are the same and your still spending the same amount for a chance to win at least 14,00,000 % of what you paid for it.

So at what point does the lottery become wasting money and at what point does it make it worth it? Post your comments on what you think!

I’ve also come across a few people with some views about the lottery and how it should be changed. Me personally? Nothing is wrong with the lottery right now. $1 a ticket for a chance to become an instant millionaire. Some people have claimed that $2 a ticket will make the jackpots higher if they raise the other prizes and everybody will play it more knowing that they can win more. I’ll have to disagree on that point, not that there’s people that won’t pay $2 a ticket, but the majority will never play or fall for that kind of deal. People love paying just a dollar for a chance to be a millionaire. Paying 2 bucks would just put some people off and leave it for only the hardcore players. If only the hardcore players are playing then the pot won’t raise and it’ll be the same or lower due to lack of playing. Only the small prizes will be bigger and that should calm the $2 ticket players. In the end, for $2 bucks, you have 2 chances to win multimillions. Not a bad idea. I’d rather have 2 chances to win the same pot that I could win with 1 chance at $2. I guess it’s each to his own, spend 2 bucks or 1 buck to pretty much win the big pot.

I did happen to pick up some of the latest scratch and win tickets that Michigan has to offer. It’s the new 2 for 1 ticket where you have 6 chance to win a prize. I ended up buying 2 tickets in hopes that I’ll win at least a little something right? Well that wasn’t the case. The odds were 1:5.7. So the only guarantee is at least buying 6 tickets. So I spent $2 on scratch and wins and didn’t get squat. I did however grab my ticket for Tuesdays drawing of 106 Million!!! I got a bad feeling about this one, but maybe in opposite land that’s the kind of feeling I need to win the lottery! I’m not quite where the store is I bought it from, but it was a combination gas station liquor stor at the corner of Vreeland and Fort in Trenton, Michigan. Good people there.

Shameless Plugs:
- wordpress.com – Ok, your here, but i’m giving a plug for this place. If you haven’t signed up for an account to blog then do so now!

- Random Gas Station – (Vreeland and Fort St., Trenton, MI) – Not sure the name, maybe mobil or marathon, but they were quite nice and friendly.

NEW 106 Million jackpot And choose my raffle

February 10, 2007

Just got done with checking my ticket right now and not a single number matched up to my slip. Frustrating? You bet, I had a good feeling about it today just like every other day actually. I have the dreams of waking up one morning, waltzing downstairs to go online and check my ticket and have all my numbers match up and solve my worlds problems. It just doesn’t work like that I guess. Correction, it hasn’t worked like that YET. One day it will happen. O yes, it will happen. I can almost categorize what I plan on doing with the money. I am excited however that the jackpot has now reached over 100 million dollars!! 106 million to be exact. Thats just so much on my plate I hope a miracle happens and I win it all!!! Didn’t quite buy my ticket yet, but i’ll be sure to find one sooner or later this weekend.

The Michigan Millionaire Raffle is fast approaching and I’m gearing up to get my tickets! All 5 of them at $20 a pop. I am curious as to how exactly I should spread the tickets out.

Should I:
a – Buy all 5 at once?
b – Buy 4 and 1 at another store?
c – Buy 3 and 2 at another store?
d – Buy 2 at one store, 2 at another and 1 at the last?
e – Buy each ticket at different stores?

I’ll go with whatever someone says I should go with, I’ll be taking the tallies from my comments on this post as well as emails to canowicki@yahoo.com

Maybe I’ll win $1000 with all 5 tickets, or maybe i’ll win $5 mill!!! Or maybe a Mill and a $1000. But I’ll be pissed if I win nothing. That’s $100 down the drain. But like they say, somethings you just have to risk money to make money and there’s nothing more risky then playing the lottery. It’s not skill, it’s pure luck. It takes a special kind of man to take that kind of risk and I’ll do it for the entertainment of all you peoples out there reading this!
